Things found while having a small tidy-up in the garden:

(Yes, the obdurate strawberry patch is still emitting tiny fruit. I shall surprise it while it hibernates and transplant it somewhere less nasty. Not sure where, mind. Perhaps I shall grub up one of the big bastard ferns.)

If you grub up a fern then can I have it? I love ferns. Also I'd put your stawberries in a hanging basket if I were u, stops the slugs.

Yes.

It would need to be a basket thieved from a supermarket. Or perhaps even a single person's trolley.

I prefer the idea of creating a perimeter of death for slugs. Mind, if the buggers pitch up in a tiny fascine tank, that would be bad.

The fern needs a large basket? Or the strawberries?

I think they're accidental bonsai strawberries.

You two are so fortunate to enjoy such a moderate climate. I hope your garden continues to grow!
