Dear Lord that's a genius idea.

I'd need to digital-back an LC-A (Well, I guess for proper cold-war tech I'd want the entire wet process in an attache case) which was knitted-cord connected to a 300-series bakelite phone with an internal GSM unit. And presumably a Gumstix or similar Linux box to do all the heavy lifting. You could probably run it off a couple of those dual-cell-stack Ever-Readys for bicycle lamps.
