Monthwipe (D20 remix)
Feb. 23rd, 2015 11:05 pmI have been meaning for bloody years (Well, obviously only four bloody years, given it came out in 2010, but still) to beetle off and buy a copy of the Laundry RPG. This would be 'Laundry' as in 'CStross/ H.P. Deighton' rather than anything to do with either Paragon or George Formby. That said, the notion of yer man Formby taking time off from setting a fine TT lap record in order to beat an eldritch horror to death with a banjolele is the sort of thing from which gleefully unhinged fanfic is made.
Anyway. It's all jolly confusing. Accidentally a D&D Fifth Edition learny-learny kit at the same time is probably not helping.
Another thing that happened is that I was support band for the splendid Stark Holborne the other week. She read (with audience participation) from Nunslinger (which was ace) and I read the first part of the second Miss Butler story, which you will be able to buy circa the end of next month.
It was also pointed out that I had written most of the worldbuilding for An Novel, which was... Well, given the story itself came out of the background work for a presentation about steam elephant hacking, it's only mildly recursive.
