Lomography. (Better, I think.)

Ooh, I like the thing that looks like a brick Clanger. Hmmm, what's that rabbit that sits and looks up [at the moon?], pagan, I think it is - an ancient carving anyway.

It's a brick fish - just outside my house. It looks more like a Clanger because it's a fish standing on its nose, in that way that fish aren't generally known for.

It's food! A quick image google later... that's not the one I have in mind. But then the one I have in mind may be stylized, and a modern version, maybe. Unfortunately I can't draw.

This is very cool but I don't really understand. lomography.com doesn't help explain much. What is all this about?

It's back to basics photography for everyone. Take a fairly cheap, simple ( and occasionally leaky) film camera and see what results you can get.

Leaky. Yes.

It's an extension of the sort of malarkey I got up to with the 7250 cameraphone. It's never going to win you the Ansel Adams prize, so don't even bother to try. In fact, think hard about not taking pictures at all.

One of my co workers is well into lomography, but he takes the opposite POV. He's totally care free with the his digital cam, but much more careful with the Holga. The reason? 150 piccys with the digital, but only twelve with the Holga. :o)

Sort of off-topic

Saw an 8-shot one on Friday and thought of you.
Who's that stuck on the One Way sign?

I looked at the 8-port and thought 'Nah, wouldn't be able to see a damn thing'

(I'd upload one of the scans that dlab7 provided, because they're lovely. On the other hand, they're huge.)

I've no idea. School of Banksy, anyway. I found a couple more while loitering around St. Pauls and wossname-square on Saturday. Subscultural cognitive dissonance is when you notice some random woman's ludicrous boots, think "Surely it's a bit early for... Oh!" and beetle off sharpish.

Ta. Modulo the scuttling mob of sp00kies, you'd get the general impression that Bristol was deserted from them photies. Wierd.

Lovely stuff. 'Binder' and 'Antenna' especially.

Oooh!

The first two shots look like screen shots from "Blade Runner."

Niiice. I might have to buy a 4-shot. Or a fisheye.

(What am I saying? I don't need any more cameras!)

I'm still sorely tempted by a 'normal' Lomo. Maybe after I've discovered what sort of a fist this one makes of the Whitby experience.

Quality. I love the sense of immediacy.

Hey, do you want some Fuji NPZ? ISO 800 C41 colour, balanced for skin tones but usable for anything. I bought a brick last year for a project I never got round to doing, it's just been sitting in my fridge ever since.

Ta very much. I wonder that I should edit out the duffers (didn't realise I had quite such a bus-fixation, for instance), but since the ones I like and the ones other people seem to like are different sets, perhaps not. Anyway, they're short-term exhibits.

Coo. Is that 'free to a bad home', or should I send you something odd?
