Because the weather's being bloody marvellous, I press-ganged people into my car and dragged them down to Brean Down. There are a lot of caravan parks at that end of the world. An awful lot. Interspersed with 'family restaurants' and pubs that offer 'live entertainment' - presumably and end-of-the-pier style patter-man, a conjurer, a bit of singing and a couple of hands of bingo to round the evening off - or a 'children's disco'. Disconcerting would be a good word to describe that sort of thing. Eventually, as you approach the down, the caravans run out, until it's just you and a lump of land. Oh, and two caffs, a bird museum, a carpet shop and a car park.

Odd.

I'm knackered - A deal of walking on a warm day will do that to a chap - so can't be arsed talking you through the slides available here. Make up your own narrative if you like. It's likely going to be more interesting than the one I'd come up with.

You just type in the word(s) you'd prefer. I'd been doing that previously (as should be obvious. I'd be horrified if LJ had moods like 'Gartly Station' or 'Orthogonal'.) but hadn't realised that you could (in semagic, anyway) select a mood with an icon, then replace the mood name and have the icon remain. Until the estimable [livejournal.com profile] zeocin pointed that out, anyway.

Thank you very much for today and sorry if I was a bit quiet at points but I was feeling a bit peaky. :(

We would love it if you and Pat came to dinner or something when you come back from the US and are all recovered! :)

Nice mood icon btw!

Oh, no problem. I was wondering about the wisdom of dragging y'all out, but fondly imagined that you were unlikely to explode and/or would tell me when you Wanted To Go Home Now.

Yes.

Ta.
