Date: 2004-08-02 02:14 pm (UTC)In the not too distant past, one was as likely to meet the London (travelling/net)-g*th contingent in the bar of the Nelson Mandela Building or outside the Elsinoire as one was to see them slumped in a corner at Slime.
I suspect the tail-end of the band-following/traveller mindset met the start of the net-thingy and briefly worked rather well.

Date: 2004-08-02 02:40 pm (UTC)But I've never really done it for clubs and that sort of thing. Perhaps this is my loss. If I had a bike (or reasonable amounts of spare cash, also regrettably absent from my life at the moment) and I was not otherwise committed, I might be tempted. I've read of 'fink, I talked to Nadin when she was at it, and I do know a few folk up there, so I'd quite like to try it sometime. However...
Feel free to call me a wuss, indolent little gobshite(1), lackadaisical bastard(2) or anything else you like. It is, I am sure, richly deserved.

Date: 2004-08-02 04:29 pm (UTC)The post (as far as anyone can interpret JHR's posts) was about all three events. I was just disappointed that the one I was most likely to be able to attend (being that it's just down the street from me) will be lacking my presence. Sorry for the lack of clarity. :)
