At the weekend I bought a book called 'Industrial Behaviour' because I thought it might help me know what to say when I meet k00l INDUSTRAIL(tm) ch1xx0rs.
Instead, I'm finding out about Taylorism and why it is Wrong.

Date: 2004-07-28 07:06 am (UTC)Mind, I can't remember which track that comes from, which means I'm going to have to listen to all of them.
(Hey, any chance of 'Hard Left' next Friday?)

Date: 2004-07-28 08:07 am (UTC)(Before some rotter charges off to Google for the record-suggesting posts I may (or may not) have made in the past, if they don't all contain the caveat "Not that I'd expect those to be played outside of some avant-garde/Peelite clubnight that specialised in trying to clear the floor, willful disregard for commonly understood genre boundaries (ie - it's ok to play crap techno at g*th nites because that confirms the majority opinion that 'this modern technological music's rubbish there's not a tune you can whistle and the singers all look like girls', but play good techno and you've a mini-riot on your hands as the punters realise that EDM's pitiful and the cognitive dissonance leads to shouting and throwing things) or the encouragement of ankle-damage through careless dancing to music of unlikely time signature." then they damn well should.)
It'll be fine, I'm sure. I don't believe that any of the guest DJs will have a sudden fit at the controls and deign to play nothing but sandpaper, 12" Black Lace dub mixes and obscure Butthole Surfers B-sides. And even if they did, I'm sure that entertainment could be had by shying fruit at the blighters.
I'm sorry. I appear to have been overcome by coffee and good fellowship.
