I can see the middle aged Mail Tourette's apologists (Tee hee hee! Gypsies!) going for that like a mob of crap-jacketed rats.

In full effect.

There's a bit of a theme there, I think.

(ex) Chocolate factory in Greenbank, next to the cyclepath.

Gardiner Haskins warehouse off Old Bread Street.

One end of a warehouse, Vestry Lane, St. Judes.

I must admit to having been inspired by Eugene Byrne's excellent talk at Bristolcon last year: http://www.bristolcon.org/?p=621

Oh cool. Wish I'd seen the talk - I really must get into Bristol and do some photography.

In truth, I was on my bike to drop some films off at the shop. I have to remember to look at things the right way and remember that I've got a camera handy, which leads one into exploring.

When I was sixteen and seventeen, I lived in a hideously nice suburb. Just nearby was a slightly derelict factory. Iron going to the sky, rust, some broken windows. I never did find out what it was.

IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN WALKING DISTANCE.

I wanted to live around that sort of decayed industrial beauty all the time.

(Then in 1995, I realised that I did. It was ehh okay.)
