Do you find yourself whistling the same tune when distracted and engaged in manual labour? I do.

According to DNA, Ford Prefect would whistle the first note of 'Mad about the boy' over and over again.

I whistle a tune that [livejournal.com profile] uk_jon first played on one of the school pianos. It's an (obviously) haunting melody that ended up being called 'Casio XL-5'. Equally obviously, the longer version was called 'Casio XL-12'.

Ending a post with a question is usually a guarantee of zero response, so I won't.

Hitler, has only got one ball...

Seriously. I have no idea why. I keep trying to train myself out of it... I blame the Scutters.

I'll answer it anyway. :) Showtunes. One will stick in my head for a day or two, and I find myself humming or singing it over and over again.

I'm not a very good whistler.

I tend to hum random tunes. Not ones I know. I have no idea where they come from. Probably beamed there by space aliens.

Nope. Or if I do, I don't notice and nobody has pointed it out to me.

Peppa Pig or In the Night Garden theme tunes. Once it was "Suspicious Minds" for 3 days nonstop and I besmirched the good name of Elvis Presley in frustration.

I usually, eventually, discover where I've subconsciously stolen something that I "wrote". That one remains a mystery.

My first thought would have been Robert Miles, but that would require a time-machine. Would have required. Will. Wioll haven on-require. Yes.

As a sign of being old (and too old to have such young kids), most tunes that stick in my head these days are performed by The Freshbeat Band, Hi-5 or The Wiggles. You'll be pleased to note, however, that I often sing the kids to sleep at night by repeatedly crooning, "Neon lights, shimmering neon lights, and at the fall of night the city's filled with light".
