We went to France. It was nice. We had ice-cream. That was nice too.

(Looks like I missed the usual round of quizzes, crises and flounces.)

Features: Vast fusion reactors, driving very fast between diverse concrete edifices on splendid roads in ideal conditions, Mlle de Punk-rock, gimp-suits for cats... Oh, I can't be bothered. I was on holiday for the thick end of ten days, fill in the blanks yourselves.

You don't have to, we have Andy's photo-phone reportage.
Glad you had a nice time.

You do? Good. Bloody thing won't resolve for me.

Bah, I'm a programmer, not a sysadmin. I've just updated the serial on the DNS for aoakley.nam-vets.org (which should resolve to 217.37.165.153) so try http://aoakley.nam-vets.org/phonecam (http://aoakley.nam-vets.org/phonecam) again.

Other pics to follow later. Fecking network card blew up last night, so there's Mel saying "I can't get on the net" whilst me, sitting on the server (acts as ISDN router), has a hissy fit because it's working fine for me. Did your BSD box wake up?

Nope, still not having it. Win2k bounces right back with a 'not found' (might be a local lookup cache), BSD box gets the SOA record back, or the right answer (CNAME to nam-vets.org) if I query the box directly. Probably bogus data in the secondaries, but a restart of the local name daemon doesn't make it any better. Querying the IP gets me the parasoc webshite, due to the wonder of HTTP 1.1

BSD box came up right away, oddly enough. It probably remembered I'd threatened to replace it with a Mini-ITX rig. (were the cases in PCWorld not so repellant, I'd have done so already.)

Ah. Yes, it could well be bollocks secondaries.

[FX: ln -s] Try this, then. http://nam-vets.org/aoakley/phonecam (http://nam-vets.org/aoakley/phonecam)

Aha! That's the ticket!

Hm. I would like to point out that though I appear to have been wearing the same C-E shirt for about a week, I wore a fresh t-shirt every day...

To be honest, the photos don't stand up to such close examination. You are mostly a low-res Hirez, recognisible only by the hat.
Ditto Mellie and her 'assets'.

Ta.

They did, while I was in 'run around in small circles' mode.
