I'm not so sure. There you are in the kitchen on a Sunday morning, quietly slicing bread for toast, and suddenly three philodendrons are right behind you, pointedly not rustling their leaves. They take your toast and silently wheel away.

And that is a bad thing how ?

1) Philodendrons are bullies and should be neither encouraged nor enabled, and 2) I like toast.

Fair enough. I'm off to build you a kitchen in a tree-house now.

Hurrah! I look forward to icing buns from behind enemy lines branches.

It's all very well sitting there going "Awww, cute" as they snaffle the odd bit of toast, but just you wait until they start smashing up the bathroom plumbing.

That's true. We must *on no account* give them any leaping or flying capability. Reckless bastards.

Just to be on the safe side, you "gronda" to them.

And perhaps offer them some drogna?

Nono. Things that have double-letters in, like coffee or toffee, but never tea or chocolate.

Something about the animated gif is freaking me the hell out, like spiders.

Still, one more thing to put on the arduino hacklist.

The version in my head is either tracked or has lunar-rover wheels so that it can make its way out of the conservatory and find a nice warm patch of lawn to squat on.

(And also humidity, temp and soil-dampness sensors)

It would need a large open clutter-free roomspace in which to wander.

Which probably rules out the homes of all of the people capable of making such a best.

Unless we built one capable of handling ParanoiaTowers, which is probably how the Terminators got started.

Through the usual circumstances I now have Asimov's Three/Four/n Laws sung to the tune of Commando by the Ramones as an earworm.

Bugger.

Very nifty. (Of course it wouldn't work in my house, as the cats would be fighting with it for their share of the sun for afternoon sun naps.)

Y'all will probably got the kit to build a V8-powered hydrostatic-drive version capable of shifting a good-sized tree or complete allotment at the end of the month.

Y'know, not that I would want to give anyone ideas or anything...
