(I recall posting about big kites before, but finding same would require delving through the bits of LJ that I made private because they were too tiresome. Thus I probably repeat myself with a periodicity of about five years. That's not too bad in human terms.)

I've had a 10-foot Flexfoil since, um, 1990. I used to fly the thing all the damn time. Not long after that, I bagged myself a Flexifoil Impulse delta (I don't think they make them any more) and flew that when I wasn't being dragged about by the big foil. Now that I come to enumerate my kites, I discover another delta that has 'LA Cut' and 'Far out' on its bag. It seems to be from HK and the manual's in German. I don't recall ever flying the poor beast, which is a terrible thing.

Anyway. For the first time in far too long, [livejournal.com profile] jarkman and I went out for a bit of a drag on top of a hill...

... Which was jolly good fun and we should do it again. Assuming none of my kit's suffered UV-rot in the meantime.

I have a Flexifoil 10 and 6 which are jolly good fun in a stack. Haven't flown them in a LONG time tho.

I'm sensing a theme here.

Did Rockman-Rock have a hand in the purchase?

Rockman Rock?

I used to fly them on Clapham Common, which always got entertaining when it was windy. If we do a Notby with suitable area we should bring them along.
Alternatively, there's [livejournal.com profile] geoffcampbell's May Camp in Wales the second bank holiday weekend.

Great fun!

Simon Rockman. Ex Cix and ex dealer in expensive kites to about half the Cix-types I knew at the time.

Yes, we should.

I think we may be lurching towards one of those plan-type-things. Crikey!
