Given the thing emitted smoke, I'm very tempted to lever the thing from the dash and work out how to replace the blackened bits. If it's stuffed anyway, I'm not going to lose anything, and I have several spare fuses...
I took this photo about 5 hours ago, as I walked past the Classic Car Club's HQ in Old Street:
It seems they've at last come round to the notion that a 'classic' car doesn't have to be a late-model Ferrari or similar wheeled bling. I look forward to the day I see a Morris Minor in their yard!
...Preferably with a 16v Fiat engine dropped in it.
I looked at that 99 when stopping at the Hoxton the other month. It wants a bit of tidying up, but I'm told that the turbo-ed ones are a right laugh to drive.
