hirezDid anyone else view 'Jack: a soldier's story' last night?
I'd recommend that those of a fragile disposition avoid it because, well, fucking hell.
About a decade ago, I worked for a chap who'd served in Vietnam. That job interview was more or less me slurping tea for two hours while he told stories about his experiences. Yon telly-programme was eerily familiar. It also didn't help that the Jack in question looked a lot like an old friend and the last time I bumped into one of the other chaps I used to go drinking with, he'd just come back from Afghan and was a fund of similar stories.

I consider myself fucking lucky not to have followed grandfather and uncle into the military.
