hirez: More graf. Same place as the other one. (Christmas cat)

Pile of random things I found in my phone. The greater man approaches the closed hedge with caution. No blame.

An odd bungalow on a large patch of ground somewhere round the back of Staple Hill. I mostly expect it to have false windows and be a PLUTO pumping station or guardhouse for a ROTOR bunker. The architecture's close enough to the (post) war type and the garden's unkempt.

What I did on my holidays. Take pictures of rusty old signs, obv.

That used to be some flavour of school, I suspect. It was up on the Triangle in Bristol, between Forbidding Prices and the multi-story.It was also the site of an odd sort of interview for a post at VBCnet about ten years ago, when it was briefly an organic caff.

What I did on my holidays (ii). Take pictures of rusty old deep-sea cable laying robots, obv.

What I did on my holidays (iii). Take pictures of non-rusty old phones, obv. The exchange name reads 'Oughtibridge'.

My tip of a cube at ex-work. For some reason it looks oddly tidy.

I Have No Idea.

What I did on my holidays (iv). Got bored with pictures of rusty things. Worked on tan.

You went on your holidays, and you didn't bring me back a rusty old deep-sea cable laying robot as a souvenir?

I think the BT security chaps would have had a few things to say had I tried lifting it. Such as "Oi! What's your game?", "Keep your hands where I can see them." and "You two sit on him while I call the polis."

Couldn't you have explained it was for an anarcho-syndicalist art project?

Because that would have made it OK!

Cor.

The Mutoid Waste mob, Spiral Tribe, Monochrom and cDc go into the telco business. Porthcurno becomes a TAZ when the the AnarchoNet lights go on.

I could see it happening. At least, in a Neal Stephenson novel. :)

The exchange name reads 'Oughtibridge'.

Is that where [livejournal.com profile] jozafeen lives?

Yes.

(Resists temptation to reply 'That would be an ecumenical matter')

I went to that caff, when it was one, about the first time I visited Bristol to see my ex, who moved down here from Hull to train at Fooltime (wot later became Circomedial (http://www.circomedia.co.uk/)); it was a good caff too. That's also when I first visited Greenleaf, and the bootmaker that used to be on Christmas steps; it's not there any more.

It's possible that I ended up infecting the city with some vile and long-incubating sickness that has gradually erupted over the fifteen-odd years since. It's the sort of thing I'd do.

Not there? The bootmaker on Christmas steps is gone?

Yes. It used to be on Christmas Steps, but it's closed now.
