g*th emulator
Apr. 16th, 2003 04:29 pmInsurance on an old Saab 900 turbo, even for a fellow of my advanced age = 700 notes. That's half the value of the relevant vehicle, and a bit of a non-starter therefore. Bugger, as they say.

Went, drank, came back. If I can drag myself out of the (likely blood-sugar related) black pit of despair I'm inhabiting, I'll write... No more about it.
[ Other than "Buy something" "please" "free fisting with every purchase" "you cunt" ... I wonder if the W-F care-in-the-community plan covers shambling drunkards? (That's unworthy. I know it does.)]
[ Much respect due to Tony & Drew, who took the Steam Elephant concept and came up with back-of-envelope concepts for the (rude) mechanicals and brigade-level deployment. And Eris & Mog for acts of senseless beauty in the face of drunken randomness. ]
Pit of despair now closer to a dank pond somewhere unfortunate.
[ Though you may imagine me screaming, Mark Stewart-like "It's not enough! It's not enough!" ]
I should be happy. It's rather odd... Like groping for a light-switch in the dark and not being able to find it.
I talk too much. (There's also a grave danger that this will contain more personal pronouns than a Burchill article. Not good, and in an annoying voice, too.)

Date: 2003-04-16 09:13 am (UTC)Two-wheelering? There's some rusty bits in a heap @ El Bat's which might be able to be reassembled into something fit for a tranny.
That quote was via the AA webshite - I more than likely arsed up the details, but the premium on the 9k went up after it was broken into twice... I'll prod my usual broker tomorrow to see what they come up with, though.

Date: 2003-04-16 12:40 pm (UTC)AA ? Eejit - they're always hugely overpriced.
My Alfa is only 200 notes. Limited mileage - just cycle to work and save the miles 8-)
Bike is sitting here in bits, looking rusty. Needs you to paint it and go shopping for those other bits, like tyres and other rubbery, rotty bits.
