There's a road sign decorating my cube @ work. No-one had batted an eyelid.

As mentioned by [livejournal.com profile] asw909 yesterday, there's an INDUSTRAIL(tm) festival at the Bierkeller in November. The 18th, from memory, which is a Sunday. Since it seems to be proper German INDUSTRAIL(tm), with angry baldy-men shouting something impenetrable over the sound of an unfortunate workshop accident, I shall potter along and stand at the back with pre-deployed earplugs.

For one reason or another, I was given to wonder what Dalek Industrial would be about. Stairs and the perils of monocular vision, no doubt:

I 'ad that Doctor-bloke in the back of my spaceship once.
Bastard! Bastard!
Pissing about on a damp planet
Mud gets in your sprockets
Do the Dalek proletariat get forcefields?
Do they buggery
Invade this
Exterminate that
Never mind the bloody stairs
Are there stairs in your house?
I blame Ken Livingstone
Inventor of stairs
Limbed oppressor of the Dalek working class
Four legs good!
No legs shite!
Four legs good!
No legs shite!
Stereoscopic vision?
What's that all about
Come the glorious revolution
We'll poke an eye out with a stick
And then exterminate you
Ha!

Knowing Bristol turnouts, you'll have a lot of space in front of you.

Space has a terrible power.

[snork] All accompanied by a sound, as of a lumpy tin inverted ice cream cone tumbling down a very long flight of stairs ...

Daleks make very poor cowboys. This makes the Dalek western one of those great genres you just never see. Sad.

Has an INDUSTRAIL(tm) band attempted a cover of 'Rawhide'? I think we should be told. (It'll be shit, mind)

Because... Oh.

Good point.

That was sad.

I also remember the foolish decision to cast a Dalek as a scullery maid in 'Upstairs Downstairs'. It was Political Correctness gone mad!

I did enjoy 'Herbie Goes to Skaro' though.

What is the tune? Apop? Icon of Coil, or Ministry?

Interesting. It appears that someone will translocate Slimelight and, by implication, London to Germany on 3rd November.

Or, I suppose, they might just extrude a heroic pseudopod of Germany across the Low Countries and the North Sea encircling the club, just for one day. Images of the opening sequence of "Dad's Army" come to mind for some reason.

Nah, just a sudden belt of inspiration and mad ideas. It's all good.

Read aloud without a tune, it resembles Alexei Sayle's early monologues.

Hello Davros, got a new Dalek?

Excellent. It kind of turned into that by accident. [livejournal.com profile] sarah_mum thinks I should be able to write ranting poetry, so I'll have a crack at that next.

Seems lots are coming to Bristol. Apparently VNV are playing at the Thekla too.

Good Lord: Nomeansno, Caribou, Gallon Drunk, The Young Knives, NMA and VNV? (http://www.ents24.com/web/venue/4682/Bristol/Thekla.html) It's like my own private Camden.
