While they're asking twice what my current hovel is worth; and I have less than zero interest in all those extra bathrooms and plumbing (there's only two of us, and that's just too much scope for extra plumbing nightmares), the walk-in pantry has me sold.
If it's the roofline I think it is, it's only half a mile from the beach, and just round the corner from Old Cable Lane. Which would be an address to celebrate, but I don't think that has any houses on it, just sheds.
Maybe Goonhilly need a sysop ? Though a quick google found this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/cornwall/5338622.stm which seemed a bit unfortunate.
Tour-guide-bloke said as much. Or rather he went on about 'rationalisation' and 'sharing workload' which I took to mean 'The site's being shut down. Enjoy the Learning Centre.'
I'm not sure. It's got a pub, a beach, a theatre (http://www.minack.com/), a bunker in case the aliens come and no 3G signal. On the other hand, one would suspect that cable-based comms are pretty good.
Shame its leashold though. I guess getting the lease extended shouldnt be a problem. Its annoying that any property like that within commutable distance to Bristol is silly money.
