There's no shortage of weblogs that bang on about shiny gadgets.

There doesn't seem to be any particular shortage of factories in the Shenzen Co-Prosperity Sphere that crank out things to the order of a Travesty Generator driven by spam and a noisy diode.

For instance, I've come away from the shop with a wee Nokia-shaped box that purports to tell me if I'm drunk or not for a tenner.

I suspect there's no particular reason it's Nokia-shaped, other than the factory next door throwing out several truckloads of the mouldings at about the same time the tannoy connected to the Travesty generator went 'Scree! Feck! Drink!' and off the production went.

Lord alone knows if it's accurate. Probably not, but I intend to line up a case of Finkbrau-analogue and plot the results sometime over the Christmas period.

There are some very, very silly things out there, lurking in the back of Pound Shops.

Unfortunately, we get some of our supplies from the Guangdong Province. Scary stuff made in what are practically slave labor work camps with dirt floors! No one in my group ever wants to go when we have to do site audits of suppliers--scary stuff there.
