hirezArse. This week (Yes, I know it's only Tuesday. I think it started on Saturday) is daemon week.
It's like reading week, (Or Reading week) only instead of avoiding pre-exam terror by the application of alcohol (or rubbish rock bands ditto), the voice in the back of my head is telling me that I'm useless. A bit bleedin' previous of it, frankly.
It hasn't happened for ages, and I begin to wonder if it's not the result of two beery weekends in succession.
See, those of you with long memories will recall that I was (still am) partial to a few scoops. However, hangovers that are mostly sheer terror are no fun at all, so modulo Whitby|Christmas|holidays, I knocked the stuff on the head.
Meanwhile... I'd noticed that some post-beer mornings weren't that bad. Captain Paranoia was nowhere to be found. WhatTheHack and VP, for instance. I can only guess that away from the malarkey of 'real life' Capt. Paranoia hadn't got a chance.
So last weekend I thought I'd test it. Look, ma! No terror! Well, until yesterday, anyway. Even then not terror so much as vague unease, and that's a whole lot better than what had gone before.
As to causes for this partial fix, I do not know. I vaguely suspect a combination of minor brain debugging and an amount of moderately healthy exercise. And writing this.
