The websites scream while my daddy prunes.

Bloody hell. The (psychobillyish) sound of dadaist young(ish) Redditch.
The Cravats/Paul Hartnoll single is a damn fine thing and exactly what you'd expect. You can win a packet of biscuits selected by The Shend's dog, too. This was why a youthful JH-R spent all his money on odd records, not f-ing ringtones or f-ing 'personalised' emails from some nobber-wannabe's PR machine. Biscuits.
Bonus round: Top entertainment! In Bristol! When I'm in the US! Arse! And the Nightingales! Double arse backwards round the carpark!

Date: 2006-10-01 10:51 pm (UTC)Very Things/DCL Locomotive records weren't hard to find in Cheltenham, possibly because the record label was just up the road. I can think of no other reason that Roger Driftin' was able to sell me a test pressing of 'Mummy you're a wreck'.
Mind, I never realised there was an album after, um, the one I have.

Date: 2006-10-02 09:53 am (UTC)I've only managed to find the MySpac samples thus far, and will probably have to enter a shop and engage in Commerce if I want the full experience. However, the idea of buying a DCL/Cravats/VT record fills me with a bizarre joy, so it will be well worth it.
And there's a Cravats 2xCD retrospective. Hurrah!
