Jabber is popular at work, so I get to look/sound busy.
It's... I dunno. I've been meaning to dip fingers into this IM business, but I'm not the wade-in sort required for IRC or multiple-protocol gubbins. Tying it to LJ-FL lowers the conceptual barrier to entry somewhat.
Well I had it on my 7610 that I bought two years ago. Well I only bought the 7610 for the excellent technical support opportunities that are neilh seeing as he was on the software team and he also has no idea what it is (maybe I should take back that "excellent"). Neither do O2 from whom I bought the thing. So, I'm intrigued to learn quite how useful it is or more likely isn't. Hang on I must be slipping, I didn't use the phrases 'ferociously expensive' or 'comedic pricing' at all in that paragraph.
Is this some 'voice-chat' thing where the youth may dial a specific number on their SMS devices and if the person on the other end is receptive to the idea, they can exchange information by means of speaking?
