There's a set of people smoking like chimneys next to the diesel tank and a slick of fuel on the deck. If we get blown up and I'm marooned on the island, so much the better. It's part blasted heath and part isolated village where Wyndham aliens turn up in the fog and are set upon by a drunken mob for their trouble. There's a hidden landing strip if the vibe leans toward Alistair McLean instead and many places to hide stolen subs. Excellent.

As I've got familiy there, I'm occasionally to be found lurking along that part of the coast, from Barnstaple to Porlock with occasional forays over Exmoor. Fantastic scenery and a great place to live (well, except during tourist season...).
