Holy crap.

It seems I'm going to be following in the conceptual footsteps of Uncle Nem and going to view Severed Heads due to the good fellowship of others.

Or people want to see what happens when I'm sent to the land of nice beer and given no excuse to stay sober. They'll only be happy if I need a Gibsonian liver-hack and blood change performed in a clinic in an anonymous industrial unit on the outskirts of Ghent.

Other than that, I'm lost for worms.

We had clients in Antwerp for a while, and I used to go there quite often. I can think of a lot worse places to go.

Check to see if you can get a flight from somewhere close to home into Antwerp Airport.

When I first went there Idiot Client booked me from LHR to Brussels which involved getting up before I went to bed and hideous taxi rides at both ends. Then I found that there was a direct flight from London City to Antwerp, which saved *hours*.

And those planes had propellors, which is only right and proper.

Eurostar is ace. There is no better way of getting to the near continent. It's like how nice air travel would be, if you didn't have all that tedious baggage business and 2-hour-checkins. And the train actually arrives in the middle of where you want to be, rather than a 50-quid taxi ride away.

Can you please hand Pat the camera when you exit the channel tunnel. I want to see your face when it hits the French track and accelerates to 300kmph (yes, people, that's nearly 200 miles an hour).

Eurostar is the one for me (that Ric8ard bloke here btw. Gruntings Earthlings). If you see a grey haired bloke lurching about in the posh area with a t-shirt wot sez either 'technical thug' or is a sevs tshirt (since the accident, probly) then that'll be me.
