Gah.

An uncreative JH-R = a peeved JH-R that would cheerfully push bits of LJ under a bus.

On the other hand: Dazzle ships. (Trust the Septics to make the name cringeworthy...)

Doing that to a car would rule. (Not mine. Well, maybe the 9000. It's a grey sort of battleship colour to begin with...)

Meanwhile: server-room camo. (Cisco, ProCurve and tiger-stripe. Result!)

Well, given I'm a complete thicky when it comes to mental feedback and mood-management, it's taken me exactly (this long less a month) to work out that if I'm not regularly emitting [words|pictures|music|code|objects] I become narky and dull. (I'll not use the 'depressed' word because.)

Unix admin so completely fails to cut it that it's rather annoying I've been doing it (and presumably wasting my time) lo these past ten years.

Hm.

Something Must Be Done.

I'm somewhat amused by the "S.S. War Penguin". Images of that Batman film with Danny DeVito spring to mind...

re: dazzle ships, thanks, thats fantastic, especially this (http://www.gotouring.com/razzledazzle/articles/dazzle3.html) one.

Re: creative, don't i know it. trying to get the time to review some current raw shots but struggling trying to find gold from the beans.

Am reading the best book on taking photos and understanding exposure ever (i'm only 36 pages in but it all makes sooo much sense, this, and the experiments i'm gonna do based on it should make me happy...)

Isn't it? It looks like a heavily armoured cubist deckchair.

I must also recommend the very fine False Colors: Art, Design and Modern Camouflage, (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0971324409/qid=1130975293/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl/026-5699881-4906805) which is full of fine things.

Any takers for Dazzle Furniture ? I'm thinking a nice cubical armchair done up in stripes so the corners aren't where the corners are.

Surely that counts as a "somebody else's problem field"

*Eyes Skoda speculatively*

From what I recall (having read - I wasn't there), Wilkinson, an artist by trade, had been trying to promote the idea for years. No one took him seriously though, as everyone 'knew' that bold sharp edges could never work as camouflage.

She must be goth (or at least industrial) since she is in Ramstein! ;P

Yes. No doubt there'll be mutterings that non-polishable boots will lead to moral turpitude among the ranks.

I wonder if they're inherently stealthier ?

This is some sort of strange British "irony", no?

I can think of no other explanation for "red army faction", unless your "r" key was worn out after struggling in a comradely fashion with the preceding two words.
