There is a faint smell of fried onions today. Soon there will be fnords.

QT and MT differ slightly ('--' <- that much) over the state of ISO.8601. Staring at XML-RPC demangling code for a couple of hours is annoying.

XML-RPC is annoying anyway.

'Serenity' is pretty good. Tech, explosions, characters you give a stuff about and wholesale slaughter of the NewRock-shod.

http://www.dragonflybsd.org/goals/messaging.cgi fills me with a strange kind of nostalgic joy.

Gah Gah Gah... what is the sentence -- it's vanished from my brain like the fnords in the summer sun.

"Overall a smell of fried onions prevails throughout."?

It doesn't seem to google.

But then, maybe they don't WANT it to google.

I can only find the one I wrote. Odd.

It's RAW anyway. Schroedinger's Cat trilogy?

*grin* Could not tell you whether it was S.C. or the Illuminatus... nor indeed remember the exact quotation... how frustrating.

Wasn't that Huxley in "The Doors of Perception?"

*grin* Indeed, "A smell of petroleum prevails throughout" is Aldous Huxley in "Doors of Perception."

A curiously similar quote but with fried onions appears in the writings of Robert Anton Wilson.

Nostalgia for mailboxes and ASTs, by any chance?

Amiga coding, by and large. (In a proper language, rather than some self-modifying copperlist malarkey with bobsnakes and fractured english)

WTF are you using XML-RPC anyway ? It's the Spawn of Winder, and thus Evil

Talking to Blogger/MovableStandards in order to make a KDE weblog client work the way I want (ie - at all).

Small project, obvious goals - ideal for fiddling with in a speculative manner.

...wholesale slaughter of the NewRock-shod.

Bit like Alien Resurrection, then?

Yes.

I think I managed to put up with the first third of A-R.

Much more betterer.
