I know. Hard to credit that rather than confront the emptiness within (and maybe, you know, deal with it), people will go out, get drunk and make out they're having a splendid time.

I mean, if there's anything LJ is designed for, it's emptiness confrontation.

The trouble with emptiness, maybe, is that it doesn't present any obvious face to confront. It's not like confronting Aunt Agatha, where you know in which direction the problem lies.
