Unexpected normality can sometimes be a disappointment.

On the other hand, sometimes the act of looking the wrong way through a telescope can bring new meanings to otherwise pedestrian objects. A long time ago, and well before I'd got into Ballard or psychedelics properly, I recall being fascinated by the view through a large mirror of the farmyard at home. It looked familiar, but wrong, and the longer I stared at the scene the more convinced I became that someone who looked a lot like me would hove into view from the wee shed opposite the rickyard. At that point, it seemed, I would twist the mirror sideways and discover the face of someone else looking back at me.

I don't remember if that happened. Perhaps it did.

They may be not quite as good as the old ones.

On the other hand, we were standing at a right-angle to the PA and I removed the things for the especially good bits, which was a mistake.
