I loaned out my mighty 606. Now I miss it. :(

I'd call that careless, had I not loaned out a Moog Prodigy and a SH-101 myself.

Still, they get more use than I'd give them and Fruityloops makes more than adequate 'scroing' noises.

I last used a 606 in 1984. I've still got the demo-tape somewhere.

Well, I know who has it, and he'd give it back if I asked, but I don't see him very often...

I loved the sound of them in the article. How do I get to some actual sound?

It's somewhat overcomplicated and requires Flash, but to my mind worth it.

Blackwire->(listen)->(thing called 'three magazine)->'threebies'->slew of MP3s of various bands, three of which are what's on the B-W single.

There's bits of Three Johns and Janitors in there. Lord alone knows where the 'Kennedys surfpunk' description hove in from, since it's quite clearly some cleverly crafted early eighties CNT/InTape homage.

Nice stuff. I like this.

Have you listened to the others on the mag's site?

Good. Glad to be of service.

I was mildly peeved that they were apparently playing in Bath last night, but since I note that them + package tour are turning up at the Thekla in a month's time, I think I shall beetle down to that. And stand at the back, obviously, so The Kids won't be given cause to cast aspertions about the state of my t-shirt or creaking limbs.

Mcluskey? I fear not. A couple of abortive d/loads made me think 'This sound inte- Oh, it's stopped...' I should probably try harder.

I'll revisit that site this very even.

Yes. Bongoleeros and v3ctor - much goodness. Fairly sure about The Chap, but that led me off in search of Stakker's Eurotechno (which is as utterly splendid as I recall) and thus WarpMart, which is a Very Bad Place Indeed.

I can see Zazz liking a lot of this stuff and me having no money at all ever again if I let myself go properly within Warpmart.

It's always good when a whole pile of uniformly odd yet very fine new music falls at one's feet.

(As a contrast to the stuff featuring on diepunyhumans, which is by and large arse with a nasty hat on.)
