I want an A40 Farina replica, made yesterday in a Honda factory.

He does like his overtaking, doesn't he. He's always on about it - even in narrow town streets.

The bit out towards Heathrow on the Great West Road was my route to work for quite a few years. Strange to see it when it was all fields around there.

Be interesting to do a modern version of that run. Perhaps I'll do it when I have a starter motor that only works when hit with bits of wood...

I'm sure I had a Mini starter that did that. Can't remember if it was a duff winding or jank on the relay-bit, mind.

Watching the chap drive right up to Bath abbey was odd. A lot like the way that it's hard to remember the network of streets around what was Bristol St. Motors in Cheltenham before there was a dual carriageway. Caudle's the electricians, IIRC.

I was surprised to see that the ne'er-do-well's choice of vehicle was the Triumph Herald(?).

Perhaps it had a quite loud wireless and some stickers on the side of the bonnet reading 'Smiths' and 'Castrol'.

Considered opinion on the Land Rover Series 2 forum is that my reconditioned-by-experts starter motor was in fact reconditioned by numpties.

It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't virtually rewired the entire car before finally getting around to checking the starter. Still, I did get to make my third-ever video, to demonstrate the starter in (intermittent) action - now showing on my LJ. It's all multimedia content in the end, innit.
