Person Specification
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Very strong experience of administration of Veritas products on Solaris, including VXVM, VXFS and Veritas Cluster
Broad systems background with exposure to varied UNIX platforms
Sun Solaris versions 7 to 9 on Ultra Enterprise hardware
Experience of a variety of multivendor technologies is required, i.e. SAN and other storage technologies
Build tools to automate and mange systems without relying on 3rd party products
24 x 7 critical systems support
Excellent Solaris Unix Systems administration
Good technical and troubleshooting skills
Proven ability and experience working in demanding environments on 24 x 7 critical systems
Knowledge of RedHat Linux is desirable
Production experience of Oracle 8 or 9 is desirable
Experience in non-unix skills is desirable (networking, MS Windows)
