I have no comment, save to say that the NB-36H is my favourite B-36 variant (if one is allowed to have a favourite strategic bomber variant).
The world may well be a safer place thanks to the abandonment of the Convair X-6 (and similar lunacy like Project Pluto), but the engineer in me really wants to see them fly.
And dammit, I'm still waiting for an NTR mission to Mars and the NASA Integrated Program of the late 60s.
I sort-of hanker after one of those Ford nuke-powered pickups. Sort of.
Back in the late 80s, I used to work up near Cirencester. I didn't realise I was right under the flight path from Fairford until a black B-52 lumbered over the tree line, still tucking its landing gear away. It was one of those 'Fuuuu...' moments.
