Stream a splendid programme about the life and works of England's Greatest SF Writer.
(For those of you new to the JH-R experience, Peelie, Wyndham and Mopar muscle are all-too-common themes. And a bunch of other stuff. Metroland, Big Black, Ballard, BSD... The usual sort of thing.)

I'd sort-of meant it in reference to 'The colourblind James experience' (Their song 'I'm considering a move to Memphis' hit the Festive Fifty) and Peelie's term for him pitching up at some Uni and playing Undertones records at a mob of bemused students - The John Peel wing-ding.
I dunno. This LJ business requires a certain amount of... Self-aggrandisment that I'm entirely uncomfortable with (Don't make a fuss, dear. No-one likes big-headed people.[1]) unless I'm cheerily and self-referentially taking the piss out of it. I mean, no-one other than myself should be interested in what I had for lunch, yet there are people out there who take pictures of their mid-day repast and post them up on the interweb for the edification of, oh, at least six or eight tedious bloody Nathans.
[1] Apart from milliners, presumably, since they can charge for extra materials.
