I first met Colin while standing in the lobby of the Radisson Non-Euclidean, wondering what on earth had made me think that turning up for an Eastercon would be a good idea. We'd both been on a panel about, er, something the day before, and in the lobby asked me if I'd like to contribute a story to an anthology he was putting together. No guarantees, etc, but was I interested? I was indeed interested, and I sent off a thing way before deadline because I is a n00b isn't it. He bounced it sharpish with a set of only slightly brutal suggestions. I swallowed any idea of an artistic strop, patched the story as advised, and lo and thingummy there it was in Future Bristol.
Something vaguely similar happened for Dark Spires.
The shorter version is that I'll miss him.
