Bands. Crackers. Gloucester. Australian Chaos Engine Show + (surgical) support. It's full of holes. (Downrange. Go with throttle-up.) Piled in at maximum rock&roll through M5 miasma of motorised munters (cheers). No fish-shop parking in Gloucester. Semi-empty room + unusual suspects. Worried Wires wanders stageward due to crap bands wimping out. They'll never eat kebabs in this town again. Noises (off): EDM - Electronic (Amiga)Demo Music. Miss Kitten and the Hacker fronted by crusties. (Got any diesel for the synths, mate?) Oakenfold/The Normal. Catch 'em tomorrow live in Norlonto @ the Garage.

Woke in stale smell of meat pie. Electronic throat-clearing nine miles high announces scratch (acid) band approaching platform three. Stage set stripped to allow more space for sounds. C-E music becoming so dense that it claims small children and emits radiation in return. Very rock + fucked-up beats + remarkable grooves. A set of favourites + the one that got away with sounding like Apollo-440 gone horribly right. Ought to go down a storm in the land of AC/DC, but daresay the baying punters'll have none of it for same reason. Realised 2/3-way through that this was the racket I'd been missing - too late for bootleg.

Time must have stop. This sign reads: You weren't there. You missed out.

Mine not to say. Burn off-ramp end-wise. Tired now. Sleep.

No wonder that was more 'stream-of-conciousness' than 'coherent account of events'. I've just noticed the time! :P

Given previous discussions, more like steam of consciousness?!

Accurately summed up some of my thoughts, just not in the right language. I think.

A good road-map for where we're hoping to take the band for Whitby, although I'm now 90% certain that it'll be our definitive last gig. I'll miss the music, but not the matching baggage that follows it around, y'see.

The language and the head-space is mine, so unlikely to accurately map to yours.

Best I bribe someone to run off a copy from the mixing desk @ Whitby. It's a bit rock&roll, but the world needs more 'No sleep 'til Hammersmith' clones.

I assume you send this to Legends. If not, to me!

It's yours, then.

Usual publishing rules apply: (c) Me 2003. I reserve the right to bung it on www.libejournal.com at some future point, but I'll warn you first.

(Good God. I don't know what's in my head but I think I rather like it.)

Here you go. (One edit for the format, one to put in the support band's name.) You get 10% of the net. Use it wherever.

Rock!

Ta very kindly. Looks good like that, though I'll probably get a bill from the estate of William Burroughs.
