Might as well finish off the day with a filthy racket that suits my mood:

I'm fairly sure we've been here before, but it seems like a good idea again. Breakbeat drone-rock? Something like that. Defiantly lo-fi, too.

On the subject of Lost Tunes From the Peel Channel, the other day I turned up this golden gasser:

http://www.thecubanboys.co.uk/music/cubanboys_drink.mp3 (http://www.thecubanboys.co.uk/music/cubanboys_drink.mp3)

I remember trying to buy this when it was around, but it never got a proper release. Three cheers for the interweb, is what I say!

(Is that a sampled-up-the-wazoo Harry Secombe on lead vocals?)

Oh yes. That is exactly the grindy drone that lives on the street in my head, making all the traffic go by.

Filthy racket. Think you should give this (http://www.hymen-records.com/all/y771-1.html) a go.

Splendid stuff. Slightly Delia, too.

Coo. Ta.

IIRC, it was found[1] loops, circuit-bent[2] Maplin kits and wild crunching and unintentional feedback[3].

It's amazing how musical terminology has changed in order to allow for things being a bit crap.

Thinking about it some, it was exactly the sound I'd spent circa ten years trying to find, but I only worked that out last night. Strange, that.

[1] = 'Stolen'
[2] = 'Soldered by someone else, then jumped on. Only made the right sort of fatally-fucked noises when run with a near flat battery.
[3] = 'First take FTW!'

For anybody what cares... drum loop is White Zombie and intro is inspiration JHR theft from Ipcress. Why is that sound not found more often in modern day music? Hostile Implant were always best when they weren't trying (which was 95% of the time). FYI, JHR, just befriended Russ Tate on FaecBork and he's friends with... Ian Arthurs! Dare I...?

I bought the Ipcress File soundtrack recently, just to get my hands on that noise. It's the uncredited last track.

Um.

I couldn't possibly comment.

Is it the sound you'd make now, given the onions ?

Yes. Johnny-come-lately 'A place bury strangers' copyists, clearly.
