Good thing: writing again. For this dreadful state of affairs, you may blame the good offices of Cory Doctorow. Who has a good office.

Tangentially, any of you lot (or indeed any of your splendid chums) who would care to get involved in a skiffy writing group, likely centred around the the Birmingham area, should bother me forthwith.

I would do it, but the commute would be a killer.

Werl, given I buggered off to Martha's Vineyard for VP, I'm looking at a bimonthly-or-so steam up the M5 being less exacting and less likely to become a Slimelight problem. In that if it's a bit of an effort, you'll make it count. Rather than going 'Oh can't be arsed maybe next week...'

But that's me being me and perhaps constructing bogus rationalisations. By that logic I'd be up in that there Londons far more regularly.

I'd not be at all averse to pitching up for LX.

Good to hear you're writing again! I'd love to join your group, however I'm with Orogeny--the commute might be a little much. XX

Brilliant.

Semi-monthly seems to be the sweet spot of getting enough stuff written between times and being frequent enough to keep your hand in shape.

Been meaning to fire off a excerpt from Tsiolkovsky, but the doc's all in Russian, and the translation's a bit... sparse.

But if you'd like to take a gander as workhorse regular guys actually doing the space stuff (with typical S:N ratio), do check out http://exrocketry.net/mailman/listinfo/arocket. Wasn't sure how in the trenches you like to get for source material. Black Arrow comes up fairly frequently. Lots of discussion about parts, metals, fuels and oxidizer.
