[Poll #1121755]

(Or perhaps even 'better known'. However, that implies an external value judgement which I would prefer to avoid.)

I want to say "both", but I know that Jon hasn't won as many awards as Dave has.

Is that John as in Jon "Mekons" Langford? Given that my first David Langford book was bought as a nipper ("War in 2080") and the first record I bought with Jon on it wasn't much later I'd say it's pretty much a tie, but I suspect fandom (something of which I don't consider myself a part) is bigger than Jon's brand of music. ;)

I was going to say that but I thought it would give my age away!

Dave Langford's review column in White Dwarf turned me onto Terry Pratchett's novels, back in the mid-'80's when there were only 2 about. Never read any of his books, but his reviews were jolly good reading.

What about Lord? Or that car plant thingy? Leave it, leave it to Lee, leave it to Lee Langford, Langford. What about the Langford Cortina?

Would that be Cal Meacham, square-jawed sci-fi superstar and hero of 'This Island Earth'? Why are they putting furniture shops inside people doing battle with aliens while pretending not to have copped off with Faith Domergue? I think we should be told.
