o This show is coming it's going to be here soon. You may be assured of fireworks and Chinese values of Interesting.

o Once again (as if it needed re-stating): I'm not here for your entertainment. MTV-culture (as if) has much to answer for.

o There's a remarkable amount of decidedly evil satisfaction to be had when pulling the rug firmly from beneath a particularly smug twat. The look of utter surprise as gravity glances briefly in their direction, which is replaced with anger, guilt and confusion in rapid succession, is worth a brisk walk across a golf-course to experience. I reccommend it.

o If this looks out of character, then you're new to this game. Insert 2xcredits to continue.

o Everything I say about IRC is true.

o We live round the back of an old Avengers set. Google for Spadeadam and then tell me I'm a liar.

o This is a shit way to run a journal.

o On the other hand, catharsis is good for the soul. A pity about the left-over bits, entrails and screaming, but a dose of Harsh Reality (or indeed Decadonia Warehouse [ ally within ]) never hurt anyone. Much.

o <=> @_ =~ s/\s+//g; R $+ : $* ; @ $+ $@ $>Canonify2 $1 : $2 ; < @ $3 > - Martian comedy. They don't write 'em like that anymore.

o I'm sure you mean well. However, I would be obliged if you didn't use my life as a test-bed for your own issues.

o ... Yes, I'm sure you are. Now fuck off. I have a busload of my own.

o This retro-phone thing. It's just me, isn't it? How very odd.

can I use your life as a test-bed for my own rocketry? Or other dangrous propulsion methodology?

Yup. As long as I'm the pilot rather than the target. If it's got a pink bottle, a TorqueFlite and a 3.51 rear-end, I'm there.

You would be unsurprised, then, to learn that we were discussing a stack-oriented approach to t-shirt storage earlier this evening.

I've just been reminded of one of the wisest sayings I've ever heard. "This too shall pass".

Stack-oriented t-shirt storage

Peter keeps trying to implement that, but we don't have enough drawers for all his t-shirts as it is.

That's pretty much the problem here. What's needed is some kind of FIFO or shift-register arrangement. Probably one that works on a 'packet' level. Where a 'packet' is a convenient, yet arbitrary number of shirts: An armload, washing-machine load or weeks' worth.

The people behind http://www.jarkman.co.uk/catalog/furnitur/furnitur.htm are considering possibilities.

I want a tricycle table! Though it'd probably mate with one of the unicycles and produce strange atavistic bicycles.

Will mention the packet concept to Peter. I think he was stymied between considering the t-shirt as an object (too small) and the drawer as an object (too big). The net result seems to be that the t-shirts pile up and the cats sleep on them.

How about something like a Tshirt sized version of this (http://www.gulf-news.com/Articles/news.asp?ArticleID=52900)

And I think I know how now.

Trays - A4 in plan (or sized to suit your shirtfolding habit), open top & upper front, a couple of inches high. Adjust height to match washday frequency.

4 rails confine the trays in a stack. Bottom tray can be pulled out when empty, filled with cleans, returned to the top. Stack drops to provide next week's wear.

Because the tray fronts are all open, every shirt is visible & can be yanked out if you get a hankering

For bonus points, the whole thing is built into a flightcase-style box with a side-hinged front, big handles, chrome latches, castors, and wee little lights to let you pick shirts in the dark.

No, it's Donna too. Good ergonomics, and you can use it to talk to people. Dropped off spare hardware at Bat Palace for you last night, btw.

Hm. Well, how many half-formed juveniles are down there ? And can we chop them up for parts ?
